What needs to be done in your estimation Jonas? I run PureOS green and have a GNOME 3.32 runtime right now.
First, make sure we fully understand all that it involves to be a full self-contained distributor - as opposed to be in the slipstream if a giant like Debian. As mentioned earlier that includes licensing and security tracking, but that is just scratching the surface.
Then (or in parallel), design how we intend such distribution of "upper" parts to integrate with "core" parts flowing in from debian.
Then, implement infrastructure to manage all involved.
Then, test for some time that it all works.
