Hello,
some pre explanation.
I worked the past week on localechooser in a same way as done before for cron. I requested adding the git trees of localechooser and python-apt into the deb-build-jobs by this MR
https://source.puri.sm/Librem5/deb-build-jobs/-/merge_requests/381
Guido pointed out correctly that the prerequisites aren't fulfilled to accept this MR.
To not bother especially Guido again and again to call the helper script 'setup-pureos-pkg-repo' for me I'd like to request to get the role Maintainer for the PureOS namespace on source.p.s.. If I can get a Maintainer permission I'd be able to use the helper script on the git trees within the PureOS repositories and adjust branches etc on my own.
The helper script Guido mentioned on several places already can be found on https://source.puri.sm/Librem5/librem5-dev-tools
If you don't feel comfortable given that role to me we need to find a workflow how the setup and adjustments on git trees can be done. Otherwise it's a bit stop and go for me as I need to interrupt my work constantly.

Would make perfect sense to me that you have "regular" access rights to team resources within the PureOS team - whatever that means.
I assumed that I myself had access to grant you that, but apparently only Matthias and Stelios is trusted to grant permissions for the PureOS team.
I think it would be helpful if we had written down broadly which access rights are intended fof whom to what resources, because it does not intuitively make sense to me and as is I don't even know if that is a mistake relevant to raise as an issue somewhere...

I will see if I can get this for you ASAP. Tracking issue: https://source.puri.sm/Purism/Systems-Tasks/-/issues/594

Right, they have "owner" status in the Gitlab account for PureOS.

Agreed.

Maybe I phrased that a bit odd then: What I wanted to say is that the repos don't even have a `pureos/latest` branch at all atm so I'd merge deb-build-jobs!381 ponce your work in those repos (localechooser and python-apt) has been merged.

I can adjust the repo configs - no problem. That's really quick but I can't do that when the branches to protect don't even exist yet.
That said I *certainly* support that you get *maintainer* permissions in gitlab in the pueros space. I don't have enough permissions myself in that space to hand them out to you though.

na, no problem. I realized quickly after your response that I'd need to push the current non existing branches first. And that lead to the starting email of this thread so I can do these needed preparations before on my own later.

I've received permissions and updated your status to maintainer in PureOS - welcome Carsten!
