Introducing Pureboot Restricted Boot
We offer the high security PureBoot boot firmware as an option for
customers who want to detect tampering in their boot firmware and OS. By
default PureBoot, will allow you to boot any USB disk you choose, and
offers a failsafe boot mode so you can boot into your system even if
signatures don't match. Our brand new feature Restricted Boot tightens
down boot security so you can only boot trusted, signed boot images.
President of Purism, Kyle Rankin explains the thinking about why and how
this feature is designed to hand over the control to you, the owner of
your hardware. Learn more about the Restricted Boot option in PureBoot

Librem Key Goodies (Part 1)
The Librem Key <https://puri.sm/products/librem-key/> comes preloaded
with the PureBoot bundle <https://puri.sm/faq/pureboot-options/> to
protect your firmware. But that's not all you can do with it. You can
also encrypt your computer's file system
<https://docs.puri.sm/Librem_Key/Getting_Started/User_Manual.html#decrypt-luks-encrypted-drives-with-librem-key>,
auto lock on removal

and encrypt local documents.

Librem 5 Vs. Librem 5 USA
Both the Librem 5 and Librem 5 USA run the PureOS Operating System based
on GNU/Linux and share the same hardware specs. So what exactly is
different between them?
Here is a detailed comparison

Kerberos Authentication on the Librem 5
The Librem 5 and Librem 5 USA phones features a built-in smartcard
reader. While most people use it for GPG, Guido Günther wanted to find
out if it can be run as an authenticator for services like email, access
to web pages, calendars, etc. without either having to retype a password
often or having to store it on the device itself.
